Grand Canyon Adventure
A day of beauty, revelation, and deep meaning – having a top-notch guide assures you an extraordinary experience! Departing Sedona in the morning we indulge in the first of many breathtaking vistas on our drive on Hwy 89A through the lush woodlands of the Oak Creek Canyon, scattered with stunning creek views, towering red rock formations, and a windy scenic drive up to Flagstaff.
Packed with fascinating historical narrative, tasteful music, and expert care, you will have a golden opportunity to take in the amazing magic that the Southwest has to offer. Heading over to Navajo country, we’ll get a peek at Sunset Crater Volcano, the Painted Desert, and excellent views of the Little Colorado River Gorge, one of the Navajo “natural wonders.”
Inside the Grand Canyon National Park we begin a leisurely exploration of its prized hot spots like the famous Watchtower built in the spirit of ancient Hopi architecture, historic lodges like the El Tovar and Bright Angel, and enjoy stunning one-way rim-walks down comfortable paved trails for up to a mile or more, your choice. Choose from fine-dining or casual for lunch, with rim views available if you want them.
After lunch, we’ll explore the Grand Canyon Village, a hub of activity for shopping, hiking trails, scenic overlooks, historic buildings, and bird-watching for the endangered but majestic California Condors. Your guide can be as actively involved in your day as you wish, joining you on rim walks and pointing out 230 million year old fossils, and filling you in on Grand Canyon geology, Native American lore, flora, fauna, and a few surprises. Time for meditations and other spiritual activities are available, according to the group’s interest. Many say it looks like a “painting” because of its indescribable beauty. After your Grand Canyon experience with Miguel, we are certain you will agree that it was one of your best days ever – relaxing, informative, thrilling, and truly memorable.
